Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect for our first meeting? As a Whole Person Coach, I like to start with what I call a “Discover You!” The Discovery You! meeting is typically divided into two session, each for about an hour and a half. During that time, we look at your level of satisfaction in 10 different areas of your life, determine the top 10 Values that guide your decision making processes in life, and explore Archetypes. It is a time for us to get to know each other and uncover the areas in your life you most want to improve. After that, most session last 50-60 minutes, but can be as short as 30 minutes. If your needs require longer sessions, we can schedule anywhere from 90 minutes to 2 hours per session.

My job is to ask questions and help you dig deep, to find the stories that are already inside of you. You can expect me to bring my whole self to the table. And you can expect me to be professional, keep your information confidential, and know that I will work hard to help you uncover the best ways to meet your goals and desires. What is expected of me/what is my role?In coaching, YOU are the expert. You are the expert of your life and know the stories you are living in. First and foremost, you must have a desire to change. With that desire, anything is possible! As your coach, I expect you to: be open, be willing to look carefully and honestly at yourself, work hard, stay curious, and take responsibility for your own progression. It is important that you communicate your needs with me–what is working, what is not working, how to improve the effectiveness of our relationship. As a client, you need to understand that coaching is a comprehensive process that can involve any areas of your life. You acknowledge that deciding how to handle the issues, incorporate coaching into different areas of your life, and implement your choices is exclusively your right and responsibility.
